Member Spotlight – Carolyn Kroeger
Carolyn Kroeger, a 90-year-old college sports enthusiast and 1955 Indiana University graduate, has made a remarkable recovery after battling scoliosis and a stroke.
Through a dedicated regimen of specialized SarcoTherapy at Vitality SarcoHealth in Sun Lakes, Arizona, she was able to regain over 90 percent of her upper body and leg strength and improve her balance within a few months. This progress has empowered her to stay independent and achieve mobility goals she didn’t think were possible.
With the unwavering support of her family, in April, Carolyn attended the NCAA Final Four Men’s Basketball Tournament in Glendale, where she navigated the bleachers at State Farm Stadium without any assistance, showcasing her improved strength and mobility.
Her success, and continuing SarcoTherapy training, enabled her to fulfill her next goal – attending the Indiana vs. UCLA football game in the stands with her daughter and friends at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California in September.

Her story serves as an inspiring reminder that with the right strength regeneration and maintenance program, along with goalsetting and support, older adults can overcome obstacles and reclaim their physical function and independence.
Her experience highlights the effectiveness of the programs and services available at Vitality SarcoHealth, which are designed to enable older adults to regenerate strength, physical functionality and vitality, often in just a few weeks.
